Qtnetcomp.dll Missing or Corrupt? Panic Not, it Can be Fixed! August 26, 2015October 25, 2018 Vikas Windows If you are encountering Qtnetcomp.dll error at startup interval or while performing any Windows operations, follow the steps in this tutorial. Block All Startup Items One of the startup applications load Qtnetcomp.dll file. For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8: Press Windows Key + X; choose Task Manager. Click “More details” icon to display additional options. Click Startup tab. Verify containing folder of each Executable File (exe) registered in the startup. To do so, right-click an item, select Open file location. If the location and startup name match with Qtnetcomp.dll then disable it. Exit out of the screen. Reboot your machine. For Windows 7/ Vista: Click Start; choose Run. Type “MSCONFIG” and click OK. This opens up System Configuration dialog box. In that dialog box, click Startup tab. Check File Name and File Path of each startup application. Check respective columns. If Qtnetcomp.dll is registered into startup list, uncheck it and click Apply | OK. You’ll be prompted to restart, go ahead and do that. Disinfect your System Some users reported Qtnetcomp.dll error whenever an adware extension, malware file was installed on their PCs. Get a good Antivirus software such as Kaspersky, Avast and scan your PC through it. Restore your PC Rollback your PC settings to an earlier period of time. Any unwanted changes, newly installed software that caused Qtnetcomp.dll error, will be reversed. For Windows 10: Open Advanced system settings. To do so, right-click This PC icon and select Properties. Click “Advanced system settings” link from the left side panel. Open System Restore. To do so, click the Advanced tab, and then System Protection tab, and then System Restore button. For Windows 8.1/ 8: Press Windows Key + X; choose Search. Type ”Restore” in text box, click Settings. Open “Create a restore point” from Search Results. This opens up a new dialog named System Properties with default System Protection tab. Click System Restore button and follow on-screen instructions. For Windows 7/ Vista: Click Start, point to All Programs | Accessories | System Tools. Click System Restore. Follow the System Restore wizard, select a restore point. Uninstall the Program If you recently installed any new applications, do uninstall. Here’s how: For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8: Press Windows Key + X; select Control Panel. Click Programs icon, and then Programs and Features icon. Right-click malfunctioning program, select Uninstall. Follow the on-screen wizard and then reinstall the program again. For Windows 7/ Vista: Click Start; type “Uninstall a program” in the Search box. Open that keyword from Search Results. Uninstall & reinstall problematic application. Restore Deleted File It may be possible that the file Qtnetcomp.dll was mistakenly deleted. Check the contents of your Recycle Bin and restore it back. Double-click Recycle Bin desktop icon. Use Search text box on the upper right corner to enter the file name “Qtnetcomp.dll”. Is the file name displayed in Search Results? If so, right click that and select “Restore” option from context menu.
