The error message typically reads: “Unable to create file <FileName.txt>. File system error (65535)” To resolve this issue, follow these steps: Turn off Startup Programs Disable all startup programs listed in Windows. For Windows 8.1/ 8: Press Windows Key + X, select Task Manager. Click “More details”. Click Startup tab. Disable all startup items. (Right click > Disable) Exit Task Manager. For Windows 7/ Vista: Press Windows Key + R simultaneously. Type “MSConfig” in the new dialog that appears, click OK. Now that you’ve System Configuration tool opened. Disable all startup items from the General tab. (Uncheck all checkboxes) Click Apply | OK. Scan for Viruses Using a good Antivirus software to scan your system. Remove all infected files detected. Scan for Registry Errors Scan your Windows for possible Registry errors. Use a renowned registry cleaner and optimizer for this purpose. Restore your Machine With System Restore rollback your system settings to an earlier date. File system error 65535 appears due to misconfigurations in your system.
