Eliminate Error -69 iTunes in Windows System

Users fail to access the iTunes Store with error 69. This article will guide through the diagnostic procedure.

Change USB Port

Your iPhone is plugged in to a malfunctioning USB Port. Unplug the device, plug it in a different USB Port.

Turn Off Antivirus

Make sure your security program is not enabled. Real-time protection scans files in use and sometime conflict with genuine programs.

1. Click the upward arrow to display System Tray icons at far right of your Taskbar.

2. Right click Antivirus icon.

3. Select Disable Protection option.

4. Confirm the action in the confirmation dialog that appears.

Update your PC

Make sure your computer is up-to-date with latest security updates and patches. Use the Windows Update utility.

For Windows 8.1/ 8:

1. Press Windows Key + C, click Search.

2. Type “Windows Update”, click Settings.

3. Open the keyword.

4. Follow on-screen instructions.

For Windows 7/ Vista:

1. Click Start, point to All Programs.

2. Click Windows Update.

3. Click Check for Updates button.

Make sure your PC is Connected to Internet

Ensure there is an active Internet connection to your computer. Diagnose the network problems, if required to do so:

For Windows 8.1/ 8:

1. Press Windows Key + X, select Search.

2. Type “Find and fix networking and connection problems” in Search Box.

3. Click Settings icon.

4. Open the keyword from Search Results.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

For Windows 7/ Vista:

1. On the far right you’ll find Network icon on Taskbar.

2. Right click that icon.

3. Select Diagnose and Repair.
