Using a Data Cable

Method 1: Using File Explorer

  1. Plugin the data cable that came with your iPhone to the USB port on your Windows 11 PC.
  2. As soon as you connect your iPhone to the PC, a notification will pop-up on your iPhone. You’ll need to tap on the Trust button to allow sharing files from your iPhone to the PC.
  3. Double-click the This PC icon on the Desktop.
  4. Double-click on the Apple iPhone drive shortcut.
  5. Open the Internal Storage and expand it to show all the files and folders.
  6. You will now be able to view and browse through different folders in your iPhone. Once you have identified the folders that contain your photos, simply copy them to your hard disk.

 

Method 2: Using the Import Pictures & Videos Feature

  1. Connect your iPhone to your Windows 11 PC.
  2. Wait for a moment until your iPhone is detected.
  3. Tap on the Trust button on your iPhone.
  4. Now, open This PC.
  5. Right-click on the Apple iPhone drive icon.
  6. Select the Import Pictures & Videos option.
  7. This feature will inform you about the number of photos and videos found on your iPhone. You can either import all of them in one go, or manually select the ones you want to import and deselect the ones you don’t want to import.
  8. Once you’re done, start the import process.

 

Method 3: Using the Photos App in Windows 11

  1. Connect your iPhone to your PC and then tap the Trust button on the iPhone to allow file access privileges.
  2. Click on the Start button.
  3. Click on All Apps.
  4. Open the Photos app.
  5. Click on the Import icon on the upper-right corner of the screen.
  6. Select one of the following options depending on what you’re trying to accomplish:
    • To review and import all photos from your iPhone irrespective of their folders, select the From a USB device option.
    • To review and import photos from only specific folders on your iPhone, select the From a folder option and then select the appropriate folder in the Open Folder dialog box.
  7. Select the photos you want to import and then click on the Import button.

Using AirTransfer App

AirTransfer is a third-party app that can help you wirelessly transfer your photos, documents, videos, Safari bookmarks, and other files from an iPhone to PC.

  1. Make sure both the Win11 computer and iPhone are connected to the same Wi-Fi Internet connection. If both are connected to different networks, this method will not work.
  2. Go to the Apple App Store on your iPhone.
  3. Search for AirTransfer and install it.
  4. Open up the AirTransfer app.
  5. Click on the Plus icon (+) at the bottom-right corner.
  6. You’ll be prompted to choose the files you want to transfer. Select the photos you want to import.
  7. After selecting the files, AirTransfer will show up a unique URL in a new screen. Just enter that URL in a web browser on your Windows PC.
  8. As soon as you enter the URL, all your selected files will be visible on the computer and you can select them all or individually select the files to initiate the download.
